Shinmei-jinja Annual Celebration (Long-nosed Gobli

This is an old Shinto ritual known as one of the unique festivals in Japan. The long-nosed goblins and the lions dance around in the grounds of the shrine. It is said that people bitten by these lions can lead happy and healthy lives.
The ritual is annually held in the midday on the third Sunday of October.
